The Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation announced that it has invested over $460,000 in 19 nonprofits supporting oral and overall health projects. The grants are part of the foundation’s
Community of Health Grant programs, which aim to strengthen nonprofits and drive progress in health initiatives, a news release said. The investment included $209,650 to nine organizations with projects focused on advancing oral health. An additional $250,953 in Overall Health Grants was awarded to 10 organizations to fund projects focused on increasing access to overall health services. The projects focus on mental health and wellness education, awareness, training, and expanded services for youths, domestic violence survivors, refugees and immigrants, after-school providers, and rural Iowans. Applications for the grants are reviewed twice a year. The application due dates for 2025 are March 3 and Sept. 3. For more information about the grant programs, visit the foundation’s website.
