Waukee Area Christian Services announced that it has changed its name to WayPoint Resources after almost 20 years of providing services, but said its mission will remain the same. WayPoint Resources, an outreach of eight Waukee churches, provides people in need with supplemental food, clothing, basic health care and assistance with housing and school essentials. “WayPoint captures our role in meeting people where they are and walking alongside them during difficult moments in their lives,” Melissa Stimple, WayPoint’s executive director, said in a prepared statement. “Our new name is straightforward, easy to remember, meaningful, covers all our services and allows for growth.” WayPoint will continue to operate out of Westview Church in Waukee.
