ChildServe announced its 15th annual Bubble Ball event will be held April 12 at the EMC Expo Center. The Bubble Ball is ChildServe’s largest fundraising event of the year with proceeds raised benefitting the 5,800 children who receive care through ChildServe’s four program areas: pediatric rehabilitation, autism and behavioral health, complex medical care, and community services. This year the runway show’s theme will be “Wild Wonders: Adventure into the Animal Kingdom,” featuring designs using Bubble Wrap. “As a nonprofit organization, so much of what we do is made possible as a result of philanthropy – and Bubble Ball has made so many of our dreams come true,” Teri Wahlig, ChildServe CEO, said in a prepared statement. “The event has allowed us to renovate group homes in central Iowa for children who call ChildServe home. We’re building an adaptive playground at our Johnston campus. We’ve renovated our respite center for children who stay with us while their primary caregivers have a well-deserved opportunity to rest – and, we’ve added rehabilitation technology to help children learn to walk again.” Tickets for the event are sold out; to be added to a waitlist email events@childserve.org.
