Above + Beyond Cancer announced plans for a first-time trip to Tibet for cancer survivors and caregivers in September 2018. The three-week journey, to be led by Dr. Richard Deming, will include medical mission work in Nepal followed by a trek to Mount Kailash in Tibet. The 2018 “Journey to Tibet” will be the ninth major expedition organized by the Des Moines-based cancer survivors’ group, which Deming founded in 2011.
