About me:

I’ve worked at the Business Record since April 2019 but I’m not a newbie to journalism.

I started my journalism career in fall of 1978 as a part-timer on the Des Moines Register’s sport desk. I left the Register in February 2019 after working in numerous jobs including as a business, education and public safety reporter and as an editor.

I am blessed to be continuing my journalism career at the Business Record, where I’m reporting on real estate development, both commercial and residential; development-related issues addressed by governing bodies; and anything else the bosses ask me to cover.

When I’m not working, you can find me on one of the great Des Moines-area trails riding my bicycle, golfing, gardening, quilting or spending time with my two beautiful granddaughters.

Please call or email me with story ideas or tips, information about upcoming events, or just to say “hi.”
