West Des Moines-based business support company Aureon announced that Jane Whalen, president of Aureon Consulting, has retired effective Dec. 31. The company has promoted Mike Rice, formerly vice president of Aureon Consulting, to president. Whalen joined Aureon in May 2016 with the company’s acquisition of Midwest Project Partners. Rice has been with Aureon Consulting, previously Midwest Project Partners, for the past five years. He was a founding partner of Midwest Technical Partners, where he was responsible for the operations, business development and strategic growth of the company. Before joining Midwest Technical Partners, he spent nearly 14 years with an international IT consulting firm.
