Start your week — recommendations for what to read
Olympic events took up a lot of free time, but I still found some good reads to share with you from the weekend amid seeing Red Gerard, age 17, do fancy things on a snowboard on his way to a gold medal. (In case you need some Olympic news to share at a coffee break today: As of 11 a.m., Norway led the medal count. The U.S. was in fifth place with two golds, one silver and one bronze.) We recently began recommending news stories that may interest or affect you, our readers. Here are some picks to consider:
— Check out augmented reality as a digital storytelling style — this feels very “Matrix”-style: “Four of the world’s best Olympians, as you’ve never seen them before”
— A bit of helpful analysis on the roller-coaster stock market as of late. “How to tell a bear market from a bull market blip“
— And a look at what some parents are sacrificing to ensure the future workforce gets a college degree, from the Des Moines Register: “Thousands of Iowa parents are going into debt to pay for their kids’ college (and they probably shouldn’t)“
