Brazil predicts it will top U.S. corn exports; USDA disagrees

Brazil, which already produces more soybeans than the United States, is expected to outpace Americans in corn production in 2027-28, Successful Farming reports. Iowa is the top U.S. producer of corn, and both corn and soybeans play important roles in the states economy. A Brazilian consultant expects that nation’s corn exports to double by 2028, but the USDA has a far lower prediction and expects the United States to remain the largest corn exporter.
