The Court Avenue Bridge will close to all traffic April 16 for a renovation project that’s expected to keep the bridge closed until December. Traffic detours will be in place that route vehicles to Walnut Street, and a pedestrian detour route will use the Principal Riverwalk Red Bridge. The 100-year-old bridge is expected to reopen to traffic in December, with work to be completed in early 2019. Officials advise planning ahead and allowing additional travel time if Court Avenue is your normal route to downtown. Other downtown bridges will remain open, including the Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, Walnut Street, Locust Street and Grand Avenue bridges.
