Roberts appointed district judge

Tamra Roberts, a lawyer based in Tipton, has been appointed a district judge in the 7th Judicial District that includes Cedar, Clinton, Jackson, Muscatine and Scott counties. Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds announced the appointment. Roberts previously served as assistant Cedar County attorney and an assistant Iowa attorney general, representing the Child Support Recovery Unit of the Iowa Department of Human Services. Roberts received her undergraduate degree from Central College and her law degree from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minn.
