Lee named CEO under Heartland Financial succession plan

He has served as president since January 2015. After stepping down as CEO, Lynn Fuller, whose family co-founded the banking operation, will remain with Heartland as operating executive chairman overseeing merger and acquisition activity, investor relations and enterprise risk and audit. Lee has more than 30 years of banking experience, including 12 years with Cincinnati-based Fifth Third bank. Heartland is a $10.1 billion operation with 117 banking locations serving 89 communities in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Colorado, Minnesota, Kansas, Missouri, Texas and California.
