Gooi Global Inc., a Des Moines-based financial services holding company, announced today that its data analytic business division, Morelity, expects to release its new software product in the first quarter of 2017.

Gooi Global, located at 1901 Bell Ave., was formed through the restructuring of Des Moines startup DomiKnow Inc. following the resignation of company founder John Stokka two years ago. The holding company has since developed a mortgage services subsidiary, Gooi Mortgage, that provides mortgage fulfillment services to small to midsized financial institutions. The company currently employs about 50 people in Greater Des Moines.

Morelity, which is Gooi Global's second operating division, has contracted beta customers from small to medium-sized banks and financial institutions to test its audience modeling platform, said Adil Khan, Morelity's managing director.

"Our data scientists are excited to be the company that brings enterprise-level audience modeling to under-served markets," Khan said in a statement. "Morelity tools provide strategic insight to improve business development, marketing and compliance."

The market for big-data services in the financial sector is estimated to reach $45 billion this year, of which the professional services category represents a $16 billion market, Khan said.

Morelity's web-based platform uses a suite of algorithms and proprietary databases to understand who a client's customers are and then prescribe a set of audiences to target for each of their financial products.

The beta trial, which began in June, has been successful with a variety of partners, and the company expects to go live with an introductory release in the first quarter. Khan said he could not release any names of the beta clients at this time. The company has also been invited to present its product at three industry conferences, he said.

Gooi Global's chairman, Mike Kemery, joined the company in 2014 and in March 2016 was named acting CEO of Gooi Global.

"We couldn't be more excited with the outstanding results," Kemery said. "The fact that we have already been invited to speak at three conferences is a testament to all of their hard work. The culmination of their success came even faster than we expected."
