The DuPont Pioneer-Iowa International Center Dialogue Series presents “Tactically Speaking; A Woman Soldier’s Reflection of Gender Roles in the Iraq War” Tuesday, December 3 from Noon-1pm at the Central Library, 1000 Grand Avenue. Author Miyoko Hikiji will discuss the recently reversed combat exclusion policy which allows women to be on the front lines of battle. Her book, All I Could Be; My Story as a Woman Warrior in Iraq, details her 9 years actively served in the Army and Iowa National Guard. Attendees are invited to bring their own lunches. The series is sponsored by Iowa International Center, Pioneer Hi-Bred. The Des Moines Public Library, Drake University and the Greater Des Moines Partnership.
