An exhibit featuring the world's largest and best-preserved Tyrannosaurus rex cast is crushing some of the most long-standing attendance records at the Science Center of Iowa.

According to a release from the museum, more than 83,000 people have visited "A T.rex Named Sue" since the exhibit opened four months ago, including more than 11,000 schoolchildren. The dinosaur exhibit attracted more than 3,400 visitors on Saturday, Feb. 9, setting a new one-day attendance record for the museum. The previous one-day record was set in March 2011, when 2,800 people visited "Body Worlds: Vital."

The traveling exhibit's last day will be Sunday, May 12.
