The Iowa Arts Council awarded the 2020 Governor’s Arts Awards during the virtual Iowa Arts Summit on Friday, recognizing an individual, organizations and communities that have a significant impact on the arts in Iowa. This year’s awards went to Mary Ellen Kimball of Osceola; Northeast Iowa Resource Conservation & Development, in partnership with the Byways of Iowa Foundation; and the city of Malvern. The awards were presented virtually in front of more than 250 state and national arts professionals, community leaders and advocates.
