Gov. Terry Branstad today encouraged entrepreneurs to get involved in Global Entrepreneurship Week. Global Entrepreneurship Week is an initiative founded by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in 2008, and is being spearheaded in Iowa by, the state's online resource tool for entrepreneurs and small businesses. The site is celebrating its one-year anniversary this month, and ranks fourth out of 20 affiliate sites using a Kauffman Foundation-sponsored tool. Branstad encouraged entrepreneurs to participate in events scheduled around the state, including the One Million Cups networking event, which takes place from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Green Grounds Cafe, 117 Fifth St., West Des Moines.
