Facebook CEO Zuckerberg's base salary falls to $1

Bloomberg: Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook Inc.'s chief executive officer and also the 22nd richest person in the world as ranked by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, was paid $1 in salary for 2013, according to a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission yesterday. That's down from a base salary of $503,205 in 2012. Zuckerberg is following the well worn path of other Silicon Valley technology moguls who take the symbolic annual salary of $1 after they were already wealthy.


GM recalls additional 1.3 million vehicles on Monday

 CNNMoney: General Motors issued a new recall Monday affecting 1.3 million vehicles in the U.S. for a sudden loss of power steering. The recall comes one day before CEO Mary Barra will testify before Congress about how the company handled a different recall of 2.2 million vehicles in the U.S. for an ignition switch problem which has been tied to 13 deaths.


HP agrees to pay $57 million to settle shareholder lawsuit 

Reuters: Hewlett-Packard Co. agreed to pay $57 million to settle a lawsuit that accused the personal computer maker's former management of defrauding shareholders by abandoning a business model it had long touted. The lawsuit was filed after former Chief Executive Leo Apotheker shocked investors in 2011 by announcing plans to refocus the company on business services and products.
