The Opus Group plans a 200,700-square-foot speculative industrial building in Ankeny, the second phase of the Minnesota company's master planned Corporate Woods Industrial Park, where a 208,000-square-foot warehouse has been completed and fully leased. The 50-acre development has enough remaining land for a third, 200,000-square-foot building. "Building on the success and quick leasing of the first building in the park, the second development has similar features with an added benefit of providing more space for outside storage or trailer parking," Jason Conway, director of real estate development for Opus Development Co. LLC, said in a release. The warehouse will offer 32-foot clear height, one drive-in door, up to 54 dock doors, hi-tech sprinkler systems, 121 parking spaces and the ability to accommodate up to 58,000 square feet of outdoor storage or additional auto or trailer parking. The building should be completed in May 2018 will accommodate a variety of uses. Opus also is the developer behind Gateway Industrial Center in Grimes, which was completed in February 2016 and is 100 percent occupied. Opus companies design, engineer and build the industrial buildings. Marcus Pitts and Jeremy Spillman with Jones Lang LaSalle will market the Ankeny property for lease.
