Shares of Ames-based Workiva Inc. began trading this morning on the New York Stock Exchange. The company on Thursday announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 7.2 million shares at $14 per share. The underwriters have been granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,080,000 shares of Class A common stock from Workiva at the initial public offering price to cover overallotments, if any. With 900 employees in nine locations, Workiva's Webfilings cloud-based software helps companies such as Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Boeing Co. and Mastercard Inc. collect, manage, report and analyze business data in real time. Workiva had $106 million in sales for the year that ended Sept. 30, up from $85.2 million the prior year.
