Bridge project to close I-35 ramps at U.S. 30 in Ames
BY BUSINESS RECORD STAFF
Monday, April 5, 2021 3:56 PM
Motorists traveling in the Ames area will want to plan accordingly as the Iowa Department of Transportation closes ramps on the north- and southbound Interstate 35 bridges over U.S. Highway 30. According to a news release, the ramps will close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and will remain closed until Nov. 24. According to the release, southbound I-35 traffic wanting to travel east on U.S. 30 will need to exist onto westbound U.S. 30, travel to Dayton Avenue, exit at Dayton and reenter U.S. 30 going east. Eastbound traffic wanting to go north on I-35 will need to exit at Dayton, go north to 13th Street in Ames, turn east on 13th Street and then turn onto I-35 north. Westbound traffic on U.S. 30 wishing to go south on I-35, will need to exit at Dayton, get back on eastbound U.S. 30 and then use the southbound I-35 on-ramp.
