Disaster proclamations have been issued for 14 additional Iowa counties in the aftermath of the severe weather system that moved through the state on Monday. The counties include Polk, Benton, Cedar, Clarke, Greene, Hardin, Iowa, Jasper, Linn, Muscatine, Poweshiek, Scott, Tama, and Washington. The proclamations by Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds allow state resources to be used to respond to and recover from the effects of the severe weather. The proclamations also activate the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program for qualifying residents, along with the Disaster Case Management Program. Disaster proclamations had previously been declared for six counties: Boone, Clinton, Dallas, Johnson, Marshall and Story.
