UnityPoint Clinic-Express to open in Ankeny
Wednesday, May 19, 2021 3:18 PM
UnityPoint Health announced that it will open a UnityPoint Clinic-Express location in Ankeny on May 24. The clinic represents a new model of walk-in care that UnityPoint Clinic launched in 2019 that aims to shorten waiting times for patients. The Ankeny clinic, at 1055 S.W. Oralabor Road, will be the third Express location, with existing Express clinics at Jordan Creek and Waukee. The clinics are designed to handle minor illness and injuries such as allergies, burns, colds, coughs, cuts, earaches, fevers, flu, fractures, infections, sore throats, sprains, urinary tract infections and yeast infections. “We understand people are busy with everything from work, to school, to kids’ activities,” said Dr. Patricia Newland, vice president and medical director of UnityPoint Clinic-Central Iowa. This can sometimes make it challenging to find time for health care. That’s why we are proud to offer another care option to meet the needs of the Ankeny community and help people feel better and get back to their lives.” Clinic wait times and online reservations are available at
unitypoint.org/express.
