What are your goals in your role at your organization?
I develop and execute communications and external relations strategies that promote, enhance and protect the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s effectiveness in its mission to grow opportunities, create jobs and promote Central Iowa as the best place to build a business, a career and a future.

What are your goals for your community involvement?
As a member of the Des Moines Symphony Academy piano and chamber music faculty, I seek to guide motivated students to achieve their artistic and technical goals. It is my hope that classical music enriches their lives, as the art form has deeply influenced my own life.

What’s your biggest passion and why?
Collaborating with and motivating/connecting others to realize collective goals that enhance our community is very fulfilling for me. I truly believe that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

What is it that drives you?
There are many community leaders, teachers and mentors who have inspired me and so many others. I am grateful to those who carved the path for our generation to succeed – we are truly standing on the shoulders of giants. I also happen to be extremely intrinsically curious.

What are your future aspirations?
I want to be at the helm of sharing Greater Des Moines’ narrative with national and international audiences. We are a thriving community with exceptional quality-of-life standards and tremendous economic opportunities, and as an East Coast native, I am a grateful recipient of this community’s generosity and hospitality. I take pleasure in sharing our #SeizeDesMoines message with an “Iowa Nice” approach.
