Des Moines Register: An Iowa cosmetology college's questionable handling of student loans over the past four years has drawn student complaints, lawsuits and federal and state oversight. Now, Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller's office is seeking enforcement of federal violations against La' James International College. It says the violations are based on the finding by a court-appointed administrator that the for-profit school is engaging in deceptive or unfair business practices. Miller's office also wants the school to agree to foot the bill for an extension of administrative oversight.
