Simpson College announced Wednesday that President Marsha Kelliher plans to retire in 2023. “I am thankful to the Simpson College community and the work we’ve done during my tenure as president,” Kelliher said in a news release. “Between now and the time a new leader arrives, I will maintain my commitment to Simpson and continuing the momentum we have created together.” The college’s board of trustees will establish a presidential search committee to lead the search process. Kelliher will continue to serve until a successor is named and then will assist with the transition. Kelliher became the 24th president of Simpson in 2020, and she is the first woman to serve in the role.
