Broadlawns Medical Center has received a Level 3 rating, the highest quality score available from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).  Broadlawns moved from a Level 2 rating to Level 3 for Patient Centered Medical Home's (PCMH) 2012-2013 survey. PCMH is a model for primary care that is a patient-centered, team-based approach to quality and safety. "This team-care model moves us toward replacing episodic care based on illnesses, with more coordinated care and a long-term healing relationship," said Dr. Vincent Mandracchia, executive vice president and chief medical officer for Broadlawns. "Any time you can be less reactionary and have the full scope of a patient's health in mind with a team of people working together, you're going to have better outcomes." NCQA is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health care quality.
