Des Moines University was among the workplace winners of the 2019 Healthiest State Iowa annual awards announced today. The annual program recognizes communities, individuals, schools and workplaces that are taking steps toward improving their health and wellness. DMU was the winner in the large workplace category. “The Healthiest State Initiative is proud to recognize our award winners who are doing impressive work across the state,” Jami Haberl, Healthiest State Initiative executive director, said in a release. “Each one is an example to other Iowa schools, workplaces and communities of the strides that can be made toward health and wellness.
