The Des Moines Area Religious Council is presenting its second annual “Bike Out Hunger” fundraiser through Oct. 9. The event is hosted by DMARC’s Young and Hungry Committee, which is focused on engaging the next generation of supporters passionate about fighting food insecurity. During the fundraiser, participants can register and take photos of themselves along the 18.1 mile route. Cyclists are encouraged to wear their “Bike Out Hunger” t-shirt and post photos on social media using the hashtag #bikeouthunger. Participants can earn chances to win prizes for each location and photo tagged, and for raising funds for DMARC.
