Jennifer Terry has been named executive director of the nonprofit Iowa Environmental Council, effective later this month. She replaces Ralph Rosenberg, who is retiring. “We are very pleased to have Jennifer’s powerful voice return to the council in support of the health and well-being of Iowans and our environment,” Lorraine May, Iowa Environmental Council board president, said in a statement. “Jennifer’s breadth of experience, knowledge, passion and dynamic personality will strengthen the council’s coalitions vital to success. She is a forceful advocate for building a better Iowa for our families.” Terry, who had been working for Des Moines Water Works on water policy issues, previously led the council’s agricultural water policy efforts. Terry is a native Iowan raised on a dairy farm in north-central Iowa and has a law degree from the University of Iowa.
