JT Logistics, a third-party logistics firm with operations in Iowa and Nevada, has signed a lease for all of Building A of the Altus Commerce Center, a three-building industrial complex at 2600 20th Ave. S.W. in Altoona, the building's developer and JLL announced.

VanTrust Real Estate LLC, located in Kansas City, Mo., is developing the complex.

JLL represented VanTrust and JT Logistics in the transaction, according to a release.

The high-cube, tax-abated building sits on 16 acres and features 148 parking stalls, 32-foot clear heights, an expandable dock and drive-in doors. The interior finishes also include LED lighting and 7-inch reinforced floor slabs with vapor barriers throughout.

The building, completed in August, is the first of three to be completed within Altus Commerce Center, which will include over 1 million square feet when construction is finished.

Construction on the remaining two buildings is underway. Building C is a 497,587-square-foot cross dock building with an estimated delivery date of December 2022, and Building B is a 328,127-square-foot rear load building with an estimated delivery date of October 2023.

According to JLL research, Des Moines will see 3.53 million square feet of industrial projects delivered in 2022 with over 2.5 million square feet delivered in the second half of the year.
