The Iowa Architectural Foundation and Iowa Mid-Century Modern are collaborating to bring four professionally produced Mid-Century Modern Home Tours to celebrate Modernism Month. Links to the virtual tours will be released to ticketholders, one per day, starting on April 26. Ticketholders will have access to each tour for two weeks. Homeowners will join ticketholders at a special Zoom question and answer session from 4 to 5:30 p.m. May 2. The tours include Oskaloosa’s famed Lamberson home, designed in 1948 by Frank Lloyd Wright. Also included are a home in Indianola, designed by architect David Block, AIA-E; and two homes in Des Moines, one designed in 1952 by architect Amos Emery and the other, built in 1954 and designed by architect Jim Lynch. Tickets are $48. See more information about the event or order tickets.
