Fast-food worker strikes planned in 150 cities

CNNMoney: The fast-food worker strikes are expanding to more U.S. cities and going global. Workers in up to 150 cities across the country are planning to strike for higher wages on May 15, according to labor organizers. The movement is also headed overseas, with plans for workers to join protests in 33 countries. 


U.S. judge rules for government in antitrust suit

Reuters: A lawsuit brought by the U.S. Justice Department and several states against American Express Co. over the credit card company's rules can move forward to trial, a U.S. judge ruled on Wednesday. The lawsuit, filed in 2010, charged that American Express' rules prevent merchants from offering discounts and incentives to consumers to use less expensive forms of payment. 


Target's interim CEO: Customers are safe

CNNMoney: Target Corp.'s interim CEO, John Mulligan. has a message for customers: "Our guests can shop with confidence at Target." Mulligan was named interim CEO on Monday. He had been the company's chief financial officer. Mulligan replaced Gregg Steinhafel in the aftermath of a massive data breach that occurred late last year.
