Meredith Corp. has named new publishers for two of its magazine brands. Alison Adler Matz has been named publisher of More magazine. Meredith also announced that Steven Grune has been named publisher of an Allrecipes magazine, that will spin off from Meredith's popular Allrecipes website.

Matz, 52, joins Meredith from Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, where most recently she served as senior vice president of strategic brand sales. She was also the publisher for Everyday Food and Whole Living magazines.

As a publishing executive, Matz has held leadership positions with many of the industry's most recognized magazine brands, including Brides, Glamour, Teen Vogue, House & Garden, Us Weekly and Self. Earlier in her career, she worked at Meredith's Country Home magazine.

Grune, 50, most recently served as vice president and group publisher at Bonnier Corp., where he oversaw multiple titles, including Popular Science. Previously, Grune had spent nearly a decade at Hearst Corp., where he served as vice president and publisher of Country Living magazine. During his career, he has also held senior-level positions at Redbook, Parents, and TV Guide, among others. He previously served as publisher of Midwest Living magazine with Meredith earlier in his career.

Both Matz and Grune will work from Meredith's New York City offices.

"Steve and Alison are both well-respected leaders in the industry who understand the critical importance of creating multichannel brands," said Tom Witschi, executive vice president of Meredith Women's Lifestyle Group.

Allrecipes magazine will be published six times per year with an initial rate base of 500,000. The premier issue will debut in mid-November. Meredith will also create a regular Allrecipes-branded television segment that will air as part of Meredith's nationally syndicated television program "The Better Show," which will air nationwide on the Hallmark Channel beginning in September.
