Goodwill of Central Iowa announced the reopening of 10 store locations and the permanent closure of four stores, as well as the closure of the South Des Moines Outlet and Career Connection Center. Beginning today, locations in Ames, Johnston, Indianola, Ottumwa, West Des Moines-Jordan Creek, West Des Moines-Valley West Drive, Marshalltown, Urbandale, east Des Moines and Ankeny are reopened with new safety protocols in place. These stores are accepting contact-free donations as well. Due to the impact of COVID-19, the organization is permanently closing its stores in Grinnell, Oskaloosa, Waukee and south Des Moines. Location openings in Boone and Newton will be announced soon, the organization said in a statement, and operations at the South Des Moines Outlet and Career Connection Center will be relocated to the Johnston headquarters location by midyear 2021.
