The Iowa Small Business Relief Grant Program will be reopened to provide relief grants to establishments affected by the Aug. 27 closure of bars in six counties, Gov. Kim Reynolds announced today. Eligible businesses in Polk, Story, Dallas, Black Hawk, Johnson and Linn counties will receive a one-time $10,000 grant to assist with cash flow. The extended program will be open to bars, taverns, breweries, distilleries, wineries or other establishments licensed to sell alcohol beverages for on-premises consumption; applications will be accepted beginning Sept. 10 and be open for two weeks. The program will be funded with CARES Act dollars and is estimated to cost $5 million. More information is available at
