Des Moines-based Lola’s Fine Hot Sauce announced today ahead of National Hot Sauce Day a collaboration with Kum & Go to offer Lola’s brand hot sauces as a condiment for the convenience store’s new menu items. The sauces will be available in all Kum & Go stores. Lola's CEO Taufeek Shah’s mother, Carmelita, also known as Lola, handed down the family recipe to Shah, which led to him founding the company in 2015. Selling the sauce at farmers markets has grown into national distribution and the recent launch of new products. Lola’s supplies retailers including Meijer, Safeway and Kroger as well as Hy-Vee, Casey’s and Kum & Go locally. “This delicious hot sauce has evolved into more than just a brand,” Shah said in a news release.
