Anthologic, a collective of specialized marketing and technology companies, has sold its software and technology development company, Shift Interactive. The move was announced in a news release on Monday. In the release, representatives said that as Anthologic has grown, its customer base and services have been on divergent paths with Shift. Justyn Miller, president of Shift, has purchased the company, and has retained all of its leadership team and employees. “The executive team is excited to continue building on Shift’s momentum and growth with the greater flexibility and freedom gained from the sale,” Miller said in the release. “Separating from Anthologic is bittersweet, but we are confident this is the best decision and look forward to an exciting future and growth for Shift.” According to the release, Anthologic, located in downtown Des Moines, will continue to partner with Shift on collaborative client relationships in software and app development. Kevin Lentz, the CEO and founder of Anthologic, said the sale was the right decision for both Anthologic and Shift, which is headquartered in Grimes. “Flexibility, nimbleness and opportunism are strengths on which Anthologic was built,” Lentz said in the release. “Throughout the years they’ve allowed us to weather storms, grow and evolve and this sale is no different.”
