Iowa's broadband availability is improving, according to a study released today by Connect Iowa. Just over 6 percent more households have access to broadband service of 10 Mbps download/1.5 Mbps upload now than six months ago. That mean 90 percent of Iowa's households that have access to that speed of service. "It is encouraging to see continued increases in broadband availability, especially at speeds above the 3 Mbps mark, which allows Iowans to really use all the resources available on the Internet," said Amy Kuhlers, Connect Iowa's program manager. She added that it is still critical to keep increasing access to much higher speeds across Iowa. Connect Iowa is a nonprofit organization that works closely with the Iowa Economic Development Authority.
