LightEdge Solutions, a Des Moines data center company, is looking to expand with the help of its new majority owner, San Francisco-based private investment firm GI Partners, the Des Moines Register reports. LightEdge operates seven data centers including two in Altoona and others in Missouri and Nebraska. GI Partners purchased its stake from the Anschutz Corp., although LightEdge declined to share the size of the stake and the sale price. Clay & Milk reports GI Partners acquired LightEdge through its GI Data Infrastructure Fund, “which was launched last year and manages over $1.8 billion of capital commitments.”
