DART seeks input on proposed on-demand services in WDM, north Des Moines
Wednesday, December 28, 2022 10:18 AM
The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority is seeking feedback on proposed DART on Demand transit services near Jordan Creek in West Des Moines and near River Bend on Des Moines’ north side. According to a news release, the addition of DART on Demand will change routing for Local Routes 52 and 72 in West Des Moines. The DART on Demand service in Des Moines would result in service to Broadlawns Medical Center, John R. Grubb YMCA and several other destinations in the area. DART on Demand allows riders to reserve on-demand service from one point to another on a DART vehicle using an app or through DART customer service. Input on the proposed changes can be provided by completing a
DART survey.
DART will also be offering three events to
provide information and gather feedback
in January. DART launched its on-demand service in Ankeny in late 2021. DART On Demand is part of the agency’s move to
alternative transit models
as it works to meet the evolving needs of its customers.
