What are your goals in your role at your company?
I work to create a strong philanthropic culture of community for Planned Parenthood across the state of Iowa. While leading a team of four, I am accountable for the construction and execution of a strategic, donor-centric development plan, and work collaboratively throughout the organization to drive the mission forward.

What are your goals for your community involvement?
A proud resident of Des Moines’ historic River Bend neighborhood, I am passionate about advancing the area’s renewal efforts and encouraging others to invest in this gem of a neighborhood.

What’s your biggest passion, and why?
Lifting up women. I’m a member of Lead Like a Lady, a group that works to connect women through support and development to become a community of empowered and engaged leaders. Every woman deserves to be supported by, and supportive of, a “tribe” of accomplished women.

What is it that drives you?
Planned Parenthood turned 100 this year. Generations of strong women (and men) fought before me to ensure that I grew up in a community where I had access to reproductive health care and education. I am committed to ensuring that my children are afforded these same opportunities.

What are your future aspirations?
Furthering the celebration of philanthropy in Des Moines. I love planning AFP’s National Philanthropy Day Luncheon, an event which honors individuals and companies who exemplify the spirit and practice of philanthropy. I believe it is our community’s generosity which has set our city apart from others.
