Emily Abbas, chief of staff and chief marketing officer for Bankers Trust, has been named this month's MVP for Iowa STEM by the Governor's STEM Advisory Council for her volunteer activities in support of instruction in science, technology, engineering and mathematics

Emily Abbas, chief of staff and chief marketing officer for Bankers Trust, has been named this month’s MVP for Iowa STEM by the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council for her volunteer activities in support of instruction in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. She previously had worked on public relations efforts for STEM efforts as part of her work at a marketing firm. Gov. Terry Branstad appointed Abbas to the state STEM Council in August 2014.
