Accumold to offer training scholarships at DMACC
Ankeny-based Accumold announced the formation of a $50,000 Skills Scholarship Program for students at Des Moines Area Community College’s (DMACC) Advanced Manufacturing Center.
The scholarship is meant to help develop expert workers in tool and die, automation and robotics, leading to up to 30 new high-skill jobs at Accumold.
The scholarships will cover tuition for technical training at DMACC, and completion of the DMACC program qualifies graduates for a position at Accumold.
The company, which makes small molded parts, is in the midst of a 44,000-square-foot expansion in the next five years that is expected to lead to 100 new positions. Informational meetings are scheduled at 7 p.m. on July 26 and 6 p.m. on July 28 in Building 3E on DMAAC’s Ankeny campus.
