Shane Phillips, author of “The Affordable City: Strategies for putting housing within reach (and keeping it there),” will be the keynote speaker at the Affordable Housing Symposium to be held at 8 a.m. April 7 at the Iowa Events Center, 730 Third St. in Des Moines. The Polk County Housing Trust Fund is hosting the event, which is being held during Affordable Housing Week.
