Allegiant to begin offering nonstop flights from Des Moines to Boston, Jacksonville

165 wordsAll Latest News, TransportationDes Moines International Airport will begin offering nonstop flights to Boston and Jacksonville, Fla., next spring, bringing the number of routes offered through the airport to 33, the airport announced Tuesday. According to a news release, it’s the highest number of routes ever offered through the airport. The new routes, through Allegiant Air, will start in May 2025 and expand the airport’s service to the East Coast. Service to Jacksonville will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, and begin on May 22. Service to Boston will begin May 23 and operate on Fridays and Mondays. Kevin Foley, the airport’s executive director, said with 33 routes now available from Des Moines connecting passengers to 28 markets, Des Moines continues to be a “vital hub for travelers in Iowa and beyond.” “The addition of these routes reflects our commitment to expanding travel options for our passengers,” he said in the release. As part of the announcement, Allegiant is offering limited-time promotional fares to Jacksonville and Boston.
