Altoona manager wins state award

The Iowa City/County Management Association (IaCMA) presented Jeff Mark with the 2010 IaCMA Manager of the Year Award during last month’s Iowa League of Cities conference.

Mark is the city administrator of Altoona, and won the award based on 14 years of service in which he oversaw the development of an aquatic center, a new fire station and a new public library, in addition to seeing the population of Altoona double.
