Julie Larson will join AE Ventures as vice president, American Enterprise Group Inc. announced this week. Larson will lead the company’s venture capital arm, overseeing capital investments, pilot programs and new business incubation in Des Moines. Previously, Larson was vice president and information technology application and information systems director at EMC Insurance. According to its website, AE Ventures’ investment strategy focuses on early-stage startups in insurance, finance and marketing health care technologies that support American Enterprise Group’s mission, with initial investments of $100,000 to $1 million.
