Two Greater Des Moines-based companies recently received a Stevie Award for Sales & Customer Service, an international competition judged by industry peers. American Equity Investment Life Insurance Co. received a bronze award for Innovation in Customer Service for its client appreciation luncheons; the West Des Moines-based company has hosted more than 7,500 policyholders in 39 cities since it began the initiative in June 2010. Marsh Consumer USA in Urbandale received a bronze award for Customer Service Team of the Year – Recovery Situation. The winners were announced on Feb. 27 in Las Vegas.
