Another way we’re average
A new report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics found that, compared with 33 foreign countries, U.S. manufacturing hourly compensation costs are about average.
The hourly cost in the United States in 2011 was $35.53. That compares with $64.15 an hour in Norway and $2.11 an hour in the Philippines, according to the study.
