Architects unveil database to match investors with stalled projects
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has launched an online database where developers, architects and investors can attempt to revive projects that have stalled due to lack of financing. The AIA-designed database is at www.aia.org/stalledprojects. The organization also released a report saying that the share of projects stalled due to financing problems through August 2011 has almost doubled since 2008. According to the report, one in five projects stall because of financing problems, particularly in the education and multifamily sectors.
